Nail It · data deletion
Delete your data
Nail It has no accounts and no servers that hold your data. Everything it keeps (captured messages, rescued photos and files, alert words, alert photos and recordings, settings) is stored only on your phone, encrypted. So deleting it is in your hands, and it takes one tap.
Delete everything, keep the app
- Open Nail It.
- Go to Settings → Data → Delete all stored data.
- Confirm. Every captured message, conversation, rescued file and diagnostic record is removed from the phone immediately.
You can also delete single messages or whole conversations: long-press a message, or open a chat → ⋮ → Delete history. Alerts are deleted from the Alerts tab (open one → Delete).
Delete everything, including the app
Uninstall Nail It (Android Settings → Apps → Nail It → Uninstall). Android removes all of the app's data and its encryption keys with it. Nothing remains anywhere.
Data held by others
- Advertising. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID. Reset or delete it in Android Settings → Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads), and see how Google uses ad data.
- Nail It itself. Nail's only own connections are a daily check for a new version and an anonymous daily "opened" count, neither with any identifier. There is nothing about you on our side to delete.
